in the movie gondor was so colorless…they came from numenor; shouldn’t there be more colors?

I love his use of color and pattern. It’s like our medieval period, but at the same time also its own style.
Well I guess it’s kind of Egyptian. In letter 211 from “The Letters”, Tolkien evokes some Egyptian for Númenor
