It is said by some people, and critics, that The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit are a simple anology, such as Animal Farm, by George Orwell. The books are a piece of a world, they are not about the rise of Hitler, compared to Sauron’s rise. It is simply about a Hobbit, and his eight companions, as they go to destroy all evil to save the great Middle-Earth they know and love. So, they are not an anology, Tolkien hated this idea, and was upset when people saw it that way.
