  • About Yourself

  • Born in Arcadia, California, Nicholas Pujdak is one of four first generation sons of European immigrants. His mother, a retired dress designer, hails from England, and his father, an architect from Warsaw, Poland, a Holocaust survivor. He is entrepreneur who built his own successful architectural business. Nicholas currently resides in San Gabriel, California.

Nicholas grew up in San Gabriel, California, and showed gifting for drawing and painting at an early age. He has studied at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, an Art School in Oahu, Hawaii, the Creative Arts Group in Sierra Madre California, and has studied under various professional artists. His art reflects his love for nature’s beauty and derives some of his inspiration from the ocean and earth, using oils and acrylics on canvas, color being his main fascination. A few of the Artists he admires would be Mark Rothko, Seurat, and Wolf Kahn to name a few.

Nicholas has worked in clay, wood, watercolors, pen and ink, pastels, acrylics & oils. He has worked with several prominent local artists which includes a large scale wood carving, as well as working in several pottery shops as a designer.

Born and raised in California, and having the ocean so near by, heading to the coastline seemed like the natural thing to do. So he took up surfing in his youth, and has surfed all along the California coastline, as well as the Baja Mexico. Furthermore the Hollister Ranch, CA is indeed one of his favorite areas to visit, "the natural habitat is still intact up there, being that it is mostly private property and undeveloped, lets hope it always stays that way"

Nicholas loves to recharge his batteries ( so to say ) , up in Monterrey and Carmel by the Sea, " their is so much constant beauty up there - one can only be inspired to paint." Nicholas has traveled in many areas of the United States, Oahu Hawaii, as well as Canada and Australia!
