"Hobbits really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month; and yet after 100 years they can still suprise you"
Pippin (Peregrin Took)
He was born in 2990 to parents Paladin Took and Eglantine Banks. He is cousin to his friend Frodo and half cousin to his life long friend Merry, the two are inseparable. The Took family has been known to be ‘un-hobbitlike’, and likely to fly off the wall. Pippin has never been out of the Shire before. Pippin and Merry are sometimes known as a menace to the Fellowship, because of their pranks and high spirits. But it really is Merrys fault. Pippin is very naïve and sweet-natured. He follows Merry without question. Pippin is ultimately the one who helps Frodo in his initial flight from the shire and is set on being part of the fellowship. Of all of the Hobbits he is the youngest, and finally gets his wish to become part of the Fellowship. Frodo is not happy with having Pippin on the journey, in the begging. He is young and immature. During the journey, in spite of many mistakes grows and matures greatly!

Merry (Meriadoc Brandybuck)
Merry: "Are you really afraid of the dark, Pip?"
Meriadoc Brandybuck was born to Saradoc Brandybuck and Esmerelda Took in the year 2982. He comes from one of the Shires most well to do and prominent families. He is first cousin to Pippin (Perigrin Took) and second cousin to Frodo Baggins. Merry is cheerful and in the prime of his life. He and Pippin are known for their misadventures and practical jokes. He, like most hobbits, lives a mostly sedentary life but has a secret passion for adventure! Merry has no idea what lies ahead. He is more than willing to go with his friend Pippin as a member of the Fellowship. Merry and Pippin are truly the ‘wild cards’ of the fellowship and add spice, humor, and love to the journey.

Sam (Samwise Gamgee)
Born April 6th, 2983 in the Shire to Hamfast Gamgee and Bell Goodchild. He was the fifth of six children (Hamson, Halfred, Daisy, May and Marigold were his siblings).
He and his family lived at Number 3 Bagshot Row, Hobbiton.
By the time of Bilbo's eleventy-first birthday party, Sam had taken over the tending of the garden at Bag End from his father. Bilbo had been teaching him to read and write, and few stories of the Elves. He had always wanted to meet elves, as he had never been out of the Shire until the quest.
He was chosen to accompany Frodo by Gandalf when he found him eavesdropping outside one of the windows of Bag End. He was also in league with Merry and Pippin, and told them about Gandalf's plan for Frodo to leave the Shire.
In Rivendell, he stayed by Frodo's bedside as he recovered from his wound. He also snuck into the Council of Elrond and insisted on going with him.
Throughout the whole quest, he stayed with Frodo. He cooked them meals when he could while they marched through Mordor. He carried Frodo when he got too tired.
When he thought Frodo was dead in the pass of Cirith Ungol he took Sting, the Phial of Galadriel, and the One Ring from his seeminglessly lifeless form, and so was a Ringbearer, if only for a short amount of time. He rescued Frodo, and helped him on the final steps up to Mount Doom, and from there, up further to the Cracks of Doom.
When the War of the Ring was over, as was the Scouring of the Shire, he married Rosie Cotton. He was elected Mayor of the Shire seven consecutive times starting in 3027 of the Third Age, and was a very well-respected gentle Hobbit. He and Rosie had 13 children; Elanor, Frodo Gardner, Rose Gardner, Merry Gardner, Pippin Gardner, Goldilocks Gardner, Hamfast Gardner, Daisy Gardner, Primrose Gardner, Bilbo Gardner, Ruby Gardner, Robin Gardner, and Tolman Gardner (Tom).
In 3036, King Elessar came to the Brandywine Bridge and gave Samwise the Star of the Dúnedain.
When Rosie died in 3082, Samwise rode away from Bag End. He went to see his daughter Elanor in the Tower Hills, and then it is said he rode to the Grey Havens and passed over the sea; the last of the Ringbearers.
*Note* It is not certain that Sam indeed passed over sea from the Grey Havens, since it is said to be a tradition passed down in his family from his daughter, Elanor Gamgee.
