HORSES
Horses are a big part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. You have Bill, the pony who warms Samwise's heart and carries a great amount of baggage. We all wish he could have come through Moria. Then there's the beautiful Asfaloth, who we're never quite sure to whom he belongs. In the books, he is riden by Glorfindel, an elf from Rivendell sent to look for Aragorn and the hobbits. In the first Bakshi version of LotR, seated upon him was Legolas (a rather different looking one, too). And, of course, in the new trilogy, he is riden by the beautiful Arwen. Many fights over one horse, I should think. And what about the large black horses of the Nazgul? Spooky and Spectacular at the same time. The Flight to the Ford scene was amazing. Five black horses chasing a white one. Classic. And who can forget Hasufuel and Arod, the horses that were given to Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli from Eomer. They were very nice horses and greatly appreciated by the three hunters. And, of course, we have to put down Brego as another wonderful horse. In the movies, after Theodred dies, he gets Aragorn back to Helm's Deep and carries him through many battles. A brave horse indeed. There are many horses in the LotR books we know and love and I'm just giving them credit. Gotta love those cheated out of Hollywood.

BALROG
The Balrog is one of my favorite creatures from LotR. It's hard to not think he's cool, unless you're a huge Gandalf fan, I guess. Some say evil, I say misunderstood. He could've only pulled Gandalf down because they were invading his home. See, there's always another way to look at things. Anyways, I think Peter Jackson and his crew did an amazing job on bringing the balrog to life. He looked amazing. Man, some people just don't age... Anyhow, I always thought it would be nifty to have a balrog on your side. Enemies would think twice, I'm sure. Well, that's all I have to say on the balrog for now, but trust me, there'll be more...

GWAHIR
Gwahir... What an amazing creature. I always loved eagles and when I read about him in books and saw him in the movies, I just loved him. In FotR, he saves Gandalf (with the help of a moth) and in RotK, he fights off the Nazgul and saves Frodo and Sam with his fellow over-sized eagles. And who can forget his part in The Hobbit? I think the eagles need a lot more credit than they get...

FELL BEASTS
Oh yes, you didn't think I would end this page without mentioning the fell beasts, did you? No, I could never do that. I for one, can't see how anyone could NOT find those things atleast a little cute. Have you seen their eyes? They're like Disney eyes or something. So sweet! Anyways, I just always thought they were cool. When the witch king comes up on his huge fell beast, it just adds so much. Personally, I was VERY angry when Eowyn chopped the witch king's beast's head. It's not so bad in the book because: A. It's Merry B. You can't see the cute little (big) thing... Well, I guess I just have to live with out. I suppose it wouldn't be very good if the witch king survived... Well, that's it. For now.....
