Amaranth Brandybuck was born in TA 2904. She was the daughter of Gorbadoc Brandybuck and Mirabella Took Brandybuck. Amaranth had an older brother Rory Brandybuck who was the grandfather of Merry Brandybuck. She also had five younger siblings: Saradas, Dodinas, Asphodel, Dinodas, and Primula Brandybuck, mother of Frodo.
