I was thinking the other day...almost everyone has Trivial Pursuit, right? Wouldn't it be kind of neat if we could come up with enough LotR/Middle-Earth questions for people to print out and use with their Trivial Pursuit board? We'd have to come up with hundreds, though. But this thread could be devoted to that. Once we've got enough of them, I'll whip up a way for people to print them out and use with their game. And I'll also look into a way to play online, if possible.

Here's how this works -- add to the thread by coming up with a card of trivia questions that includes a question and answer for each of the following categories, and be sure to include the answer:

People (Books)
Geography (Books)
History (Books)
Film (Film)
Quotes (Books or Film)
Wild Card (Anything Tolkien/LotR/M-E related)

Note that the People, Geography, and History categories are intended for questions about the books -- any of the Middle-Earth books. Anything else that is film related would go in Film, or Wild Card (or Quotes, but be sure to say in the question that it is a film quote). Wild Card could be used for anything remotely Tolkien/LotR/M-E related. Please be sure that if the book the question is from is not LotR, that you indicate in the question which book it is from.

So for example, you would post a set of questions like so:

People - Thorongil is another name for who? (Aragorn)
Geography - Means Tower of the Moon (Minas Ithil)
History - The War of the Ring ended in what year? (3019)
Film - The part of Celeborn is played by who? (Martin Csokas)
Quotes - Who said "It must often be so, Sam, when things are in danger: someone has to give them up, lose them, so that others may keep them." (Frodo)
Wild Card - Tolkien's wife's first name was? (Edith)

Please only post an entire card of questions (i.e. one question for each category) exactly as I have done above -- that will make it a lot easier for when it comes to pull all this together in the end. Even if you think your questions suck, that's okay. Do put some time and effort into writing good questions, though, and be sure to check your answers!

Spelling must be correct, or no points will be awarded.

You may submit as many cards as you would like Each card submitted is worth one point (up to 20).
