Eowyn fair and Curse the Stew by AragornsEvenstar
I liked her personality in the films, despite the fact I imagined her being much more inconspicuous about her love for Aragorn. If I were her, I would go with Gandalf. Is there anyone cooler than Gandalf? Does *Aragorn* have a magical staff? No, I didn’t think so. And I swear if I hear one more word about Eowyn’s cooking skills, I will cast myself into the fires of Mt. Doom. Again, PJ’s apparent obsession with food is not amusing. Oh no preciouss. Perhaps if that scene had been cut, we could have seen something interesting that had to be cut, or we could have a decent caption on the caption contest.

I AGREE ENTIRELY! (the Gandalf thing and the stew thing :p ) the only part I liked in that stupid scene was that Viggo poured steaming hot stew all over his crotch! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! but beside that i think the stew joke has dragged on way too long, come on guys, gte some new material! For example my friends and I have many origanal and funny jokes about LotR. For example:
Frodo: If we go on like this I shall become a wraith!
Strider: DO NOT SPEAK OF SUCH THINGS!
Frodo: I’ve got the freakin’ fate of the world in my hands! I’ll say what i want! wraith! Wraith! WRAITH!
Strider: AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! IT BURNS! *runs away screaming*
Thank goodness someone finally threw down the stew thing! GOSH! I loathe that “joke” and I put that within quotation marks because it’s gotten extremely old and it was never funny in the first place.
I loved it! Personally… 😛 Okay, it was very out of character, and obivously it wasn’t original material; but I just loved Viggo’s acting there, and the way his real age was revealed…
She was very different, I think that’s one of the things I really disliked about the movie character. Her love for Aragorn was played up to much in a misguided attempt to bring some will he/won’t he love triangle tension into the film – no need! It also diluted her motivation, the strong desire to go to war and die a great death, and took something away from the scene where she finally slays the Witchking. It’s also a shame they chose not to show her own love story and how she fell for Faramir, but I see why they didn’t.
I agree with all of you! Though Viggo’s acting brought a huge smile to my face it was not needed. If Eowyn did cook (which I’m sure she did) it would not have been horrible. All women in societies like that should have been learning ever since the “puberty” age. And another thing. That joke is so completely old. I never even used it in the first place, it was so offensive to me. I also really hated the uneeded will he/won’t he love triangle because Aragorn’s love for Arwen was pure, it would NEVER fade. They should have taken all that wasted time, cut the stew scene and actually showed us the kiss on the walls of Osgiliath between Faramir and Eowyn! That’s the one thing (next to Sharkey and the Shire which also disappointed me) that I really wanted to see!
