RotK Mania on HypaSpace Weekly

HypaSpace Weekly on the Space Channel is airing an extended look at the RotK on Saturday December 20th at 9am EST (repeated Sunday at 5pm EST. For more information go to Spacecast. There is also a video clip on RotK mania (look for PJ’s picture for the link!).

Golden Globe nominations are out!

The Golden Globe nominations are out. RotK is nominated for best picture and PJ for best director. No nominations for the cast though. For more details go to MSN Entertainment.

Did Middle England inspire Middle Earth?

There’s an interesting article at BBCi about Tolkien’s early years in the Birmingham area of the UK. The article talks about how some of the real life areas Tolkien knew may have been the inspiration for places such as the Old Forest and the Two Towers.

Exhibition of the trilogy is coming to the US

The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy exhibition is coming to the US.The exhibition is scheduled to open at the Boston Museum of Science on August 1st 2004. For further details visit the Museum of Science website.

RotK box office take is $8 million!

BBCi reports that the box office take from midnight screenings of Return of the King was $8 million (£4.5 million).
