Ingredients

1 c. milk
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. whole wheat flour
Chopped nuts to taste (walnuts or pecans are good)
Seeds (sesame, poppy, sunflower, etc.)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Mix first five ingredients in a large bowl.
Add soda and salt, mix well. Stir in flour and nuts.

Pour into a well-greased 9" or 10" bread pan. Sprinkle seeds on top, as much as you like. Important: cover loosely with tin foil, shiny side up.

Bake for 40-50 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve hot.

Doesn't need any topping, but can go well with clotted cream, jam, or butter.
