Ingredients
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese1 1/2 tablespoons sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sour cream
3 beaten egg yolks
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
3/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Rind of 1 lemon, grated
3/4 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
Put 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese through a strainer. Mix strained cottage cheese with 1 1/2 tablespoons salt, 3 tablespoons sour cream, 3 beaten egg yolks, 3/4 cup honey, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, the grated lenmon rind, and 1/2 cup wheat germ.Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Butter a 9-inch-square cake pan. Sprinkle the bottom of pan with 1/8 cup wheat germ. Pour batter into pan and top with 1/8 cup wheat germ and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 30 minutes.

This is a rich and orangey dessert, almost like a bread pudding (though that may be because I used a convection oven). It has a grainy texture and plenty of nuts (try adding raisins, that is good too). A wonderful dessert or snack.
