Description: Legend has it that the recipe was given to a Bree innkeeper by an Elf who exchanged it for a hot meal. After it sold out the first night, word spread abroad. Soon thereafter every innkeeper in Bree had come up with their own version. Here's the original, just for you!

Ingredients

1 can cherry pie filling
1 20-oz. can pineapple chunks
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 stick butter, melted

Instructions

Preheat hearth (oven) to 350 degrees F.

In a 9 X 13 glass baking dish, mix cherry pie filling and pineapple chunks, along with 1/2 cup of the pineapple juice from the can. Sprinkle cake mix over pineapple/cherry combination. Sprinkle chopped pecans over cake/fruit mix.

Drizzle melted butter over top of everything and bake in oven for 40 minutes.
