Ingredients

2 packages yeast
1/2 cup warm water
3/4 milk, scalded
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup margarine
1 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, beaten
4 1/2 tp 5 cups flour

Instructions

Dissolve yeast in warm water and let set for five to ten minutes. Scald milk, and then add sugar, margarine, and salt. Let cool, and then add the three beaten eggs and two packages of yeast to the milk mixture. Gradually add 4 1/2 to 5 cups flour. Knead for ten minutes. Let rise for one hour. Punch down dough and let rise again for 30 to 45 minutes. Divide dough into two equal parts. For each half, divide into three equal parts and make eight to nine inch ropes. Braid bread and put on greased cookie sheets. Let rise for 30 minutes. Bake in 350 F oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve to hugry mining dwarves.
