1 lb. large shrimps, raw, shelled, and deveined
4-5 cloves fresh, crushed garlic
Salt and black pepper
1 tsp. powered ginger
3 tbsp. tequila
2 tbsp. sesame oil
I tbsp. vegetable oil (for cooking)

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Refrigerate and marinate at least 4 hours, or overnight.

Just before dinner, heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil on high heat in a regular, not non-stick skillet. Pour in shrimp and marinade all at once.

Let sizzle not more than 2 minutes. Do not overcook shrimps.

Serve hot with green salad and fries.

To serve as appetizer or side salad, prepare vinaigrette dressing as follows : Combine salt, pepper, 3 tablespoons olive oil, and 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar in a small bowl.

On each plate, place salad greens (like ''spring mix") and 5 or 6 shrimps per person.

Pour vinaigrette in the still-hot skillet, and stir with a wooden spoon. Add 1 or 2 spoonsful of this hot dressing on each serving of shrimp salad.
