I really like it with honey, although I haven’t tried it with fruit juice. I would suggest adding sprite or ginger-ale to it to give it some fizz. I think it looks like pink champange.
OMG I love this stuff! It’s almost as good as the real thing. It has a nice zing, or tang or whatever you weant to call it. It tastes delicious with both honey and fruit juice in it.
I really like it. My friends tried it and thought it was real wine until I told them what it was.
You can say I am my pen name… yes, a hopless romantic. Which is why I think this is wonderful. My party was a hit with it!
Pretty good…my friend and I experimented with it to get what we liked. The first time we made it, we did it exactly like the recipe and couldn’t drink more than a few sips.
~I had the loveliest dream last night! We found two bottles of faux wine! And we drank all of it. And then, we were sick!~
definitly not my favorite drink… I almost puked when I drank it. Vinegar just does not agree with my stomache I guess
Just a thought for those of you who had problems ingesting the vinegar: did you use distilled white vinegar (what you might think of as just plain vinegar) or true red or white wine vinegar? If you used the plain stuff, that’s probably what caused your problems. Also, in reference to the dream (I know it was just a dream…) drinking two bottles of anything would make one sick. Anyway, I’m done ranting. 🙂 I think that using red or white grape juice to match one of the vinegars would make the best wine substitute.
This sounds great!
Just one question, is it alcoholic at all?
I mean could a minor drink it and drink
it and not get drunk?
no its not alcoholic hence the name “faux” wine 🙂 and can you just buy the red wine viniger at a supermarket? 🙂
I think its really good with fruit juice
This is really good, i only made half of the recepie, and i drank it all! add lots of honey and it is very good. And I agree with the other comment, you have to use the vinegars that are specifiesd in the ingreadients.
Wow! I just made it for the first time, and although I had to add at least 3 tablespoons of honey, the end result was well worth it. It’s lovely!
Oh! This will be perfect! I’m getting married next april and I’m afraid I will be still too young enough to drink real wine. So this will be perfect!
This takes a lot of tweaking to get it the way you like it, but once you get it there, it’s really good.
It has an interesting taste, not unpleasant, but it burned my throat going down. Still, I would recommend trying it at least once. ^.^
I’m really glad this is such a hit! And DEFINITELY use the right kind of vinegar. You can also try boiling the water with some fresh mint before adding as well (let it cool before adding to the rest of the recipe). It’s a nice variation.
This sounds really interesting. If it is as good as people say it is, then it would be great for social gatherings where there are minors and alcohol is served. It would keep them from feeling left out.
sound awesome
