Council of Elrond - Sam's Recipe Box

Ingredients

12 graham crackers, crushed
1 c. butter or margarine, melted
2 3-oz. packages lime Jello
1 c. sugar
1 12-oz. can evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened
2 c. hot water

Instructions

Crust:

Mix melted butter and crushed graham crackers. Save some graham cracker crumbs for decoration, if desired.

Press mixture into the bottom of a 131/2x9x2 cake pan.

Filling:

Mix hot water and Jello until dissolved. Add cream cheese and blend. Mixture will be lumpy. Add sugar and vanilla; mix until all large lumps are gone.

Whip evaporated milk until fluffy. Gently add to Jello mixture

Pour into pan and sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on top, if desired.
Chill until firm.
