Serves: 4
Prep Time: 45 min
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
1 small rabbit1 bunch sweet basil
1 good sprig rosemary
2 bunches parsley
1 bunch wild onion &/or garlic
2 cups water
1 salt & pepper
Instructions
First, catch a rabbit! (or get one from you local grocer) Gather herbs. Draw water. Dress and butcher rabbit, cutting into small pieces. Do not cut meat off bones. Brown rabbit in skillet over small hot fire. Set pieces aside, scrape skillet with small amount of water over fire to make gravy. Chop and add herbs, salt & pepper. Add rabbit pieces and enough water to cover. Cover skillet with lid and simmer until done. Optional: at the gravy stage, add flour, or if on the road, powder a piece of cram. This will thicken the broth/stock.

legolashaldirluver1155, several people I know hunt so therefore, stuff like that is normal. If it’s okay to eat venison (deer), it’s certainly okay to eat rabbit.
My grandfather has a TON of property and he hunts sometimes. Last week he caught three wild turkeys and one rabbit; we let it go though. I just might give this recipe a try, I’ve been looking for something like this and my grandfather LOVES anything with meat and my famous potato dishes.

This sounds so good! I could never get my family to try it though, with the rabbit… I’ll probably try it, and substitute some other meat. Thanks!
