Description: This dish is enjoyed by the whole Maggot family. They love to share it with Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin when they drop by after walking all day.

Serves: 6 Elves or 3 hungry Hobbits

Ingredients
24 oz. mushrooms4 fl oz. half & half or heavy cream
1 pack brown gravy mix
1 large onion, white
Pam
Instructions
Cut mushrooms lengthwise into slices.Cut the onions into very fine half-slices.
Spray non-stick pan with Pam. When hot add mushrooms, spraying more Pam to keep from burning till mushrooms are done, approx. 5 minutes. Keep warm in another container.
In the same pan spray Pam and stir-fry onions, adding more Pam as needed. When done mix with mushrooms.
In a large pan prepare gravy according to package directions. Add mushroom-onion mixture, stirring till heated but not yet bubbling. Add half & half or the heavy cream. Bring to a slow boil and simmer gently for about 2 minutes.
Enjoy with Sam's Delicious Potato Dumplings and Pippin's Sweet Carrots.

Sounds great, but um . . . what’s Pam?
Pam is a brand of cooking spray.
Cooking spray??? bleh.
With a non-stick pan, a bit of olive oil is better.
