Age: 21
Family: father, Thyrin; brother, Matthias
Animals: Dapple grey stallion, Gringolet

Personality: Born and raised in a tight-knit, stable family, Adrienne grew up to become a mature, intelligent individual who values friendship, honesty, and trustworthiness the most. Although obedient to her father, Adrienne has a stubborn streak that comes out when challenged about her beliefs, her achievements, her choices, or her family and friends. She dislikes laziness, thievery, and superfluity. Conversational by nature, Adrienne generally makes friends easily but often comes off as aloof from a distance. She is proud almost to a fault and often will not back down from an argument. This does not mean she is not open-minded and willing to entertain other opinions, however. Adrienne is very given to compromise and would rather mediate conflicts than engage in them or cause a ruckus. She is most famous for her biting wit and use of intellect in conversation and doesn't mind calling out bluffers. Overall, Adrienne possesses a kind heart, a love of traveling, a deep appreciation of nature, and a strong-rooted attachment to her family and to Ithilien.

Appearance: Of average height, Adrienne bears the typical appearance of one who has lived in the forest most of her life. She has chestnut-brown hair, leaf-green eyes, and tanned skin. From her father she inherited the stockiness and sturdiness of Gondorian citizens, and from her late mother, from the city of Dol Amroth in Belfalas, Adrienne took on the litheness, grace, and strength of those people. She is most often found in belted tunics, boots, breeches, and thick cloaks. She usually carries her weapons with her on a simple but reliable belt.

History:

Descended from the royal line of Dol Amroth through her mother and the northern Dunedain through her father, Adrienne has lived a relatively simple life when compared to her lineage. She and her brother Matthias were educated at the White City along with other noble children but then remained with their father at Tolech-en-Ernil, an abandoned Rangers’ haven that had been turned into a small village during the time of Aragorn Elessar. Her father, Thyrin, holds the position of Steward of Ithilien, taking care of the forest but not holding the title of Prince; that belongs to the descendants of Faramir, son of Denethor. Her family is very close, inclusive of her immediate family, her uncle Ardyn, her aunt Midlar, and her cousins.

Thyrin and his brother Ardyn are descended from a younger son of Arvedui, last king of Arthedain in the north. Arvedui’s eldest son, Aranarth, became the first Chief of the Dunedain and is a direct ancestor of Aragorn Elessar. Thyrin’s forefather, Aramarth (or, “royal fate”), had traveled with his elder brother to seek the aid of Cirdan the Ship-Wright in helping Arvedui, who had retreated to the Icebay of Forochel during the Witch-king of Angmar’s occupation of Fornost. Once Arthedain fell, however, the Dunedain scattered, Aranarth took the title of Chieftain of the Dunedain, and Aramarth remained with him until his death. Through the centuries, Aramarth’s descendants moved south towards Ithilien, where they ultimately settled. The line of Aramarth continued through Thyrin and mingled with the royal line of Dol Amroth in Adrienne’s mother Rhea, to produce a son and daughter of ancient and noble blood.

Her late mother, Rhea, was the niece of the current Prince of Dol Amroth through a younger brother. She was a lovely woman with the dark looks and grey eyes of the people of Belfalas. She was, however, of a delicate disposition and contracted a violent form of pneumonia and passed away when her children were quite young. As a result, Midlar often served as her and Matthias’ surrogate mother since Thyrin was never inclined to remarry.

For most of her life, Adrienne has lived in Ithilien, often traveling through Gondor to Minas Tirith, Lossarnach, Belfalas, Anfalas, and Lebennin with her family. Her noble bearing and young age indicate that she should marry soon, but as of right now, she has no desire to wed. She is more inclined to remain in Tolech-en-Ernil and aspires to her father’s position, though traditional gender barriers mean that it is unlikely she would obtain the position. She has strong royalist tendencies and would rather not upset the status quo against any nobility if possible.
