Race: Noldor Elf
Height: 5'11
Age: unknown; around 8,500
Family: Fingolfin (father, deceased), Fingon + Turgon (brothers, deceased), Aredhel (sister, deceased), Finwë (grandfather, deceased)
Animals: A Meara, "Sulime"
Weapons: Elegant blackwood longbow, bound and engraved with silver elf-runes; her arrows are black and tipped with crystal shards, fletched with Mallorn-leaf; matching silver-bound sword, with a crystal set in the pommel that blazes gold when in battle, "Helkane" or also known as "Icebane". Airestel also possesses two throwing knives crafted by Mahtan, a former mentor of Fëanor while he still lived in Valinor.

Personality: Though hardly to be called shy, Airestel is not one to seek either attention or aid. Her inner poise is sometimes mistaken for coldness. While Airestel may seem fair and quiet to those who see her from a distance, she is determined and dangerous if crossed. She knows how to keep a grudge, but rarely does. Her advice and counsel are both wise and intelligent, and is respected by all.

Appearance: Her eyes are grey and piercing; they glow with an inner determination born of a life the hard road. Her face is expressive although still, the perfect balance between strenght and intelligence, wisdom and wit. Her hair is neither gold or red, but a hue like copper, but less abrasive; it is usually drawn back into a braid, but reaches her mid-back when released. As a wanderer, she wears earthen tones that blend easily with her environment. She wraps herself in a long, forest-green cloak. For her protection, she wears a shirt of jet rings underneath her cloak, wraught also by Mahtan.

History:

When her father Fingolfin and her family deserted Aman, Airestel followed with great dread of what lay before them. She endured the Helcaraxë and the cruel hills of ice, but emerged fearful of the future and the oath that Fëanor and his sons had taken.

When her father was killed, she fled to the relative safety of Doriath, but she left there with her brother Turgon’s people, to Gondolin, the hidden city. When it fell to Morgoth, she fled with Tuor and Idril Celebrindal by a secret way through the mountains, and they came to the mouth of the Sirion. When it was destroyed by Maedhros and Maglor in an attempt to take the Silmaril that Elwing kept, Airestel escaped, wounded, to join with Gil-galad’s people.

Ever from that time, she wandered the lands in a hope to find security in the midst of a cruel world.
