Bellas (dreamdancer)
Bellas was born to an elf who forged much of the weaponry for the Last Alliance. As he grew, he was taught the trade and developed incredible skills as a blacksmith. Sadly, his father was killed during a small battle and Bellas was given his position as one of Rivendell’s craftsmen. His life was unremarkable for years; he forged swords, lived out relationships, going to battle when he was needed.
It was a fateful day that changed the course of his life. The elf was outside of the city, taking pleasure in the nature of the valley, when a lone horse appeared, riderless. The animal was frightened and exhausted. After nearly an hour of searching, Bellas found the rider; a man of Gondor, wounded and unconcious on the riding path.
The blacksmith bore the man (Hennan) back to Imladris where he was healed, and while he remained a great friendship was formed between man and elf. One day Hennan decided to leave and seek the men who had murdered his family, but Bellas would not allow him to go alone. For the first time in decades, the elf left Rivendell willingly to help his friend track down the bandits.
During their search they encountered many hardships, each saving the other’s life countless times. Justice was never found, and the War of the Ring took prominence over Hennan’s task. He returned to Gondor along with Bellas during the battle of Pellanor Fields and aided there.
After the war ended, Bellas remained in Minas Tirith to help with re-building. He soon opened a smithy there, forging swords for the people of the city, even for the king’s personal guards.
The friendship of Hannen and Bellas lasted for many years after, and their adventures are yet to be uncovered.
