Beow lived his entire ilfe in a small village, barely knowing of the world around him. He was forced to work hard from a young age to survive, but life wasn’t unenjoyable. Anything he knew he learned from his parents and close family friends in his village, and most of what he learned involved farming, hunting, and horses.

But everything went wrong in a matter of hours one night when goblins raided his village. They killed nearly everyone, as no one was prepared for an attack. Of his own family, his mother was the first to go. He and his father fought the goblins as long as they could, but soon his father fell as well. Cwen, the middle child of the family, suffered a terrible wound to her shoulder, and barely managed to survive until Beow located her again and could take his surviving family and flee the village.
