Images and News About Playstation LotR Game

There’s a great article in this week’s PSM (Playstation Magazine) about the forthcoming Lord of the Rings game. Click “Read More” to view scans from it.

…and the ancient art of frying pan!

Here is an exerpt from a very interesting article about the different fighting styles in the trilogy, at Journal of Theatrical Combatives: “Tony Wolf is one of the legion of behind the scenes workers blessed with a unique and exacting challenge – rather than accomplish the fight and battle scenes with generic fight choreography, director Jackson decided to have him design movement styles for the different cultures and species of combatants: Orcs, Uruk-hai and others. Drawing on his expertise in martial arts, combat choreography and a wide variety of indigenous fighting styles from around the world, Tony created unique styles and taught them to teams of stunt people”

Mtv Movie Awards Airing Tonight

Just a friendly reminder that the Mtv Movie Awards are airing right now on the East Coast (well, the pre-show is). West Coasters don’t get to see it until 8:30 PST. Don’t forget to join the chat room when it airs in your area. Also, read more to see other times that it is airing over the next week.

I think we are all going to be busy tomorrow…

Here is a great article at MTV and a heads-up–MTV will air “Becoming a Hobbit: A Behind the Scenes Look at The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers” during the pre-awards show, at 8:30 pm EST (and 8:30 PST, too. East Coast gets to see it before West Coast 🙁 ). Oh, and here is the whipped cream on top–there are great pictures at the above link!

It is your right and responsibility to vote!

At USA Today there is a poll titled, “Which sequel are you most excited about?” At the time of this posting, The Two Towers was leading, at 35.7%.

I have voted…have you?

Merchandising makes strange bedfellows…

Here is a snippet from a strange but true story, at DMNews: Kia Motors America yesterday said that it will be New Line Home Entertainment’s exclusive automotive partner in the home video and DVD release of “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.”

Mtv Movie Awards Chat

The Mtv Movie Awards air tomorrow night at 9pm EST/PST. We already know the results, but it might be kind of fun to watch together in the chat room. Keep in mind the time differences: the East Coast will get to see it first, at 9pm their time. I’ll be in the chat room at 8:30 pm Pacific Time (to watch the preshow) if anybody on the West Coast would like to join me.

This section is growing thanks to all the hard work of our Staff researchers!

And then Frodo said…

Here is a transcript of the CBC Radio Two Radiosonic show with Elijah Wood and Franka Potente, which aired on June 1.
