Wow, I’ve been looking for the animated films on DVD but had no luck. After seeing the movies, I’m very curious to see how they were done in animation so I’m glad the Cartoon Network is showing them. If this wasn’t posted, I wouldn’t have known and so thanks for posting it!
Somehow I’d always linked the animated Rings films with Bakshi…
*slaps his two hands onto his face ala The Scream painting* Scccaarrryyy……..
Hobbit May 16
LotR May 32
RotK May 30
I think that the animated movie had good moments, like the one shown on the site there, the backgrounds were pretty nice.
May 32?? I mean 23
For those of you who haven’t seen the cartoons yet, don’t get your hopes up! They don’t come anywhere close to the live action films.
I’ve heard they were pretty bad… but, being the curious Pickle I am, I can’t wait to see for myself. 😀
omg, thats kinda cooly. anyway, this is ALL I can remember:
FotR: Boromir pouncing on Frodo and saying, “Frodo come back!”
TTT: Aragorn hiding behind a rock (? I THINK it was Aragorn lol) and saying shhh be quiet and orcs whacking Merry and Pippin. (GAH)
RotK: Some reject song singing, “Return of the King, Return of the Ring.” That doesnt make sense!lol.
I was only like 5 after all! Then my dad threw them away…..I have never seen the animated The Hobbit. 🙂
