The Lord of the Rings : The Third Age

EA Games have revealed to IGN.com that The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, is going to support more than one player. A new video here, entitled ‘Co-Op Revelation’ explains how this will work and contains new footage of Minas Tirith.

Extended Edition release date announced!

The official site has confirmed that the Extended Edition of ‘Return of the King’ will be released on December 14th, with pre-ordering starting on October 1st. There is also a list of the contents of the 4-disc set, and a group of exclusive desktops to download.

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age – Updates

The official, Battle For Middle-Earth website,eagames.com, has released a new interview with Dustin Browder, the design director for the forthcoming game.

Today, September 22nd, is Hobbit Day, the birthday of both Bilbo and Frodo. At the start of LotR Bilbo turned 111, “a very respectable age for a hobbit”. Frodo turned 33 and came of age. Click here for some great CoE Hobbit Day eCards to send to your friends.

The Lord of the Rings : The Third Age

At Xbox.ign.com there’s a walkthrough of the second chapter of the first episode of the forthcoming EA game, Lord of the Rings : The Third Age. The walkthrough starts with a fight with the Watcher in the Water and ends at the Hall of Records. There are also some new screenshots from the game which you can view here.
