I must say I find your arguments very convincing (as well as very clearly set forth.) I find it especially appropriate Glorfindel and Gandalf were willing to sacrifice themselves in battle with a Balrog, were seemingly defeated, and returned more powerful and blessed than before. Thank you for this piece.
