New Line blacklists Peter Jackson
Robert Shaye, the co-chairman of New Line Cinema, has told SCI FI Wire that he will never work with Peter Jackson on ‘The Hobbit’, or on any other film, because of legal action Jackson is taking against New Line.

I love Eomer!
Shaye’s comments were rude, low and not suited for the leader of such a great company. He is obviously tired and annoyed by all the controversials over this case right now, but that does not give him the right to speak in such a tone.
This is just plain stupid on New Line’s part. If they really don’t owe him anything, then they shouldn’t refuse to audit. If they owe him money, they owe him money. And exactly who do they expect to come see the Hobbit w/ no P.J.??? Seriously!
awww…thats not nice the hobbit probly wont b as good w/ no pj…and who do they expect to take his place?
*cough* This is ludacris, these people are acting like two year olds!
If they really do owe Peter Jackson money, he should have either got it by now or dropped the issue and moved on. Had he done that, things could have remained civil, even if New Line is in the wrong. Peter Jackson will not have any difficulty finding another company to work with if he wants to make The Hobbit. But is he allowed to? Or does New Line have rights to The Hobbit?
