Peter Jackson is a “Sir”
Peter Jackson has been awarded a knighthood in the New Zealand honors list. In the citation for his knighthood it was noted that PJ: “continued to excel in and significantly contribute to the New Zealand film industry”. You can read further details here .

Excellent! Now if we can just make the Queen (or is it a King now? I forget) give Tolkien a post-humous knighthood, everything would be perfect!
