The Hobbit will stay in New Zealand
The news we have all been waiting for!. Stuff.co.nz report that The Hobbit shoot is going to stay in New Zealand. The news was announced by Prime Minister John Key who also said that new labour laws would be introduced to Parliament tomorrow to support this. The Hobbit will also get a $15 million tax rebate. Mr Key also said that the movie will premiere in New Zealand.

That’s great news 🙂 I cannot imagine any other Hobbiton and Misty Mountains but the ones in NZ. ^ ^ The greater the correspondence and links between the Hobbit and the LotR movies, the better. 🙂
Good news! I’m happy to see New Zealand will be Middle-Earth again after all 🙂 I was afraid we would indeed have to wait until the end of the week for an outcome, but luckily that isn’t the case (^^) Now let’s hope there will be no need for other strange union actions during the making of this film… :/

Yes!! *victory dance* I’m glad they’re keeping it there, it would just be wrong elsewhere in the world. Guess it’s about time I get my passport so i can go the the premier eh?
I’m thrilled that The Hobbit will stay in New Zealand. Now lets hope for lots of exciting news stories about further casting of the roles and next year we can look forward to some spoiler pics!
