UK film magazine Total Film has a picture previewing part of the set for The Hobbit.
More than 700 would-be Hobbits turned out for a casting call in Hamilton, Stuff.co.nz reports. The try-outs attracted part-time actors, stay-at-homes mums and a wide range of other people.
