Howard Shore to Score The Hobbit
In a recent interview with Howard Shore at The Province, he has let loose the information that he will be working on the music for The Hobbit. Probably not a huge surprise, but it’s good to have it confirmed!

That’s wonderful news to me ^ ^ I absolutely loved the LotR soundtracks, and find myself humming them quite often still, after those 7 years π I’m looking forward to encountering the few familiar old themes such as the Shire or Rivendell which would bind the Hobbit to the trilogy, and to the new ones π
Well at least now we know that the score will be amazing.
Yay! So glad it’s confirmed!
Whooo!! That’s great news! π
I totally agree with you, noleme! It’s great to know that! Did you guys know that Howard Shore composed the Jacob’s Theme from Twilight Saga Eclipse soundtrack? That’s amazing too!
That’s wonderful news! π Howard Shore’s music made Middle Earth complete!
I hope the Hbbit soundtrack has a bit more balls to it than the overly feminized LOTR one. John Williams should’ve done all the soundtracks. Howard Shore is a bit too gentle and sweet. It’s difficult to watch the dvd extras because of the sappy background music.
yay! I couldn’t imagine anyone else doing it
