Click on Peter Jackson’s Facebook page to see Production Video #3 from the set of The Hobbit. In this video, we get to see many of the characters in costume.
After watching this video, I’m totally in awe. Seeing all those characters in costume made my day/week/month. it’s going to be tough waiting for the release of the first movie

On the bright side, Serkis still appears to be an amazing Gollum and have an amazing voice.
Seeing the dwarves moving has not made me feel any better about the majority of them….star dwarf’s hair does not look any better from the back. One of the dwarves has little braids all over the top of his head. 🙁 According to one of the actors, the reason Kili doesn’t have a beard is because he isn’t old enough for one? I’m not sure where that came from. Apparently, the dwarves are speaking Khuzdul in the movie. I don’t know enough to judge if they’re using enough to judge if they’re saying real words or not….Trying to figure out what Bombur’s cowbell look alike was….There was a brief glimpse of them singing or something, so that gives me a bit of hope….though they did seem a bit overly silly at dinner. Okay…whichever dwarf the hairless one was, he really needs to get new hand guards.
Weaving’s hair appears to have receded even more. I’m not real sure I liked his costume either….
Why is Galadriel hanging around in Rivendell? White Council I guess…I like her costume though, from the brief glimpse I saw.
On the other hand, the last few seconds made my day…*falls down in worship of Christopher Lee. *

I feel a little bit better about the dwarves now after seeing them in action (though I still think Bombur looks a little silly. :P). Gollum’s Cave looks great! And Cate Blanchett looks stunning (as always). 🙂
Who else started jumping up and down at the very end by the way? 😀

Apart from all the other Dwarves, this video proves to me once more that Thorin is awesome! Plus, Christopher Lee is amazing!

After all this start debate about the pictures, this video lifted up my spirits a bit more. 🙂

It would be nice if they added a bit more color to the dwarves costumes.

The dwarves look a bit better here in the video, I’m still a bit hesitant about their looks (are all the funky braids really necessary?) but I think it’ll be alright. The promo pictures were probably overdone, I’m not seeing all the armor and weapons. Kili, however….-_-‘ I don’t know, he looks too much like a man.
Not all that happy about Khuzdul speaking because dwarves are secretive of their language, and the majority of it is invented by David Salo probably, but whatever.
I like Cate Blanchett’s dress although I’m not sure about the whole White Council scenes. Love that they are bringing the songs in! I think this movie wil be oaky.

I enjoyed everything about this video from the The Hobbit set to Pinewood Studio and the scenes with Bilbo and Gollum.
From dwarf scenes to informal chats with the actors. Cate was there and looking elven as ever in a gown to match her crowning glory. Sir Ian McKellen with Hugo Weaving, oh yes it reminded me of the LOTR days. Just wait until Legolas and Frodo arrives and what do we see, an impromtu appearance by John Rhys Davies who is welcomed into the fold by none other than his ‘dad’ and a cameo appearance by Sir Christopher Lee.
Can’t wait to see Andy Serkis directing debut as well.
Looking forward to more video shots as the filming progresses.
