Acupuncture is one of the most fascinating modalities within Eastern medicine. It is amazing how the simple insertion of a needle can influence the entire physiology of the body. When there is a problem in that area of the body, the energy that flows through that area is decreased, or sometimes even totally blocked off. The insertion of a metal needle at the acupuncture point stimulates the energy, causing an increase or return of the regular energy. Re-establishment of the normal flow of energy increases circulation and stimulates the nerves, allowing the area previously depleted of energy to return to normal!
