Ciryandil
Pronunciation: Keeryaan'deel
Ciryandil was the son of Eärnil I and the fourteenth King of Gondor. He continued the building of ships, thus becoming the third Ship-king of Gondor.
During his rule, the lords of the Haradrim that had been driven out of Umbar in TA 933 by Ciryandil's father, Eärnil I, returned and attacked the Gondorian harbour. The King was slain in Haradwaith, during the subsequent siege of Umbar.
Ciryandil ruled for 79 years, from TA 936-1015, and was succeeded by his son, Ciryaher, later known as Hyarmendacil I.
