Elúrin
Pronunciation: ee-LOO-rihn
Elúrin was the son of Dior Eluchíl and Nimloth. He had a sister named Elwing and a brother named Eluréd.
He accompanied Beren and Lúthien to Menegroth after they had retrieved a Silmaril.
When the sons of Fëanor found out that Dior Eluchíl had a Silmaril, they came to steal it away, and in doing so killed Dior Eluchíl and Nimloth. They then took Eluréd and Elúrin and left they in the forest to die.
However, one of Fëanor's sons went out to look for them, but his search was useless; Elúrin and Eluréd were lost, never to be found again.
