Originally a lady of Dol Amroth, and daughter of Adrahil.
She married Denethor II in 2976 of the Third Age and had two children, Boromir and Faramir. She died twelve years after marrying Denethor II. It seemed to some that being in the city so close to the shadow in the east withered her, and she was always looking south, to the sea that she loved.
Faramir gave her cloak to Éowyn to wear when they were in the Houses of Healing. The mantle was the colour of the blue of deep summer nights, and it was set with silver stars around the hem and the throat.
