Son of Frumgar, second chieftain of the Éothéod. He defeated and killed the dragon Scatha, and took the dragon's horde as his treasure.

However, a quarrel developed when Dwarves attempted to claim the treasure from him. Fram then had Scatha's teeth made into a necklace that he sent to the Dwarves telling them that "You have no such treasures in your keeping." The Dwarves took great insult at this and it is suspected by the Éothéod that they killed Fram because of this.
