Himling was a small island off the northern Lindon coast of Middle-earth. During the First Age, the island had been part of the mainland, and had been a hill called Himring. There Maedhros had built his fortress.

During the inundation of Beleriand at the end of the First Age, the lands around Himring were flooded, leaving Himling as an island.
