Hyarmendacil II (also known as Vinyarion) was the son of Aldamir and was the twenty-fourth King of Gondor. He succeeded Aldamir when his father was slain in the war with the Haradrim and the Corsairs of Umbar.

Vinyarion avenged his father's death in TA 1551 by defeating the Men of Harad, and to celebrate his triumph he took the name Hyarmendacil, first used by his ancestor Ciryaher (Hyarmendacil I) and meaning 'South-victor'.

Hyarmendacil II ruled for 81 years (TA 1540 - 1621) and was succeeded by his son Minardil.
