Losgar was at the mouth of the Firth of Drengist. When Fëanor led the fleeing Noldor across the sea, and into the cold of the northwest of Beleriand, Losgar was the place where they landed.

Once there, Fëanor ordered that the stolen ships of the Teleri be burned so that none could be sent back to allow Fingolfin and his followers safe passage across the great water.
