Mittalmar was the pastoral central province of Númenor. It contained Arandor (including Armenelos and Rómenna), the most populous part of the island in its eastern part.

Near its centre rose Meneltarma, and the two main rivers of Númenor, the Nunduinë and the Siril, had their sources in the region.
