A round black stone brought to Middle-earth by Isildur and set on the Hill of Erech.
The King of the Mountains swore allegiance to Isildur on the Stone but he betrayed the King of Gondor. He and his army were called to the Stone by Aragorn during the War of the Ring to fulfill the oath at last.
