Stone of the Hapless

The Stone of the Hapless was the memorial stone set atop the grave of Túrin Turambar in Cabed Naeramarth, by Mablung of Doriath. It was also a memorial to Nienor, though she was not buried there.
Many years later, Húrin buried Morwen there and inscribed her name on the Stone next to the names of their children.
As it was prophesized by the seer and harp-player of the Forest of Brethil, Glirhuin, the Stone of the Hapless was never destroyed, nor defiled, and when the world was changed at the end of the First Age, it was not drowned by the sea, but stood above the waters on Tol Morwen.
