The stars fade from her eyes,
The color from her cheeks,
The warmth from her skin,
This was her choice, I did all I could,
But as the warmth and life leaves her, I wish there was more I could do,
I remember when she used to radiate life, when her fingers used to spread warmth instead of chill,
She lies still silently rejecting me, and while her blood turns to ice, I can give her no warmth, for she is fading.
