Uirbe Undomiel by FrodoII
~Uirbe Undomiel~ (Eternal Evenstar)
~*~
Mournfully sliding amongst long dead trees
Devoid of fluttering, silver-streaked leaves,
Black cloak trailing the decades behind
Glory eternal a fog to remind;
A mist to remember the years gone by.
His cold carved face, an image of stone,
Tears no longer falling to quiver alone.
Leaves spinning on by, webs clouding the King,
Rusty bells lie amongst rubble and ring;
Nevermore heralds, to ivy they cling.
Fading and blending, immortal in grief,
The Haven’s deserted, her happiness brief.
Sails are dust, the great beams are rotten,
Old Shipwright long dead, no comfort begotten;
No sweet-scented arms to welcome her bosom.
Shrouded in flailing red streaks of the sky
She wanders and seeks the many sea-sides.
The curling, foamed tide pulls dreams at her toes
And the mocking salt spray, laughing, teases her nose;
Betraying the island she never shall know.
Millions of stars glitter unmercifully down,
Winking eyes, chanting “She must, should have known!”
However she dreams and wishes and wants,
Her pleas are denied, hopes dashed to the dust;
Bound by her love, his grave she still haunts.

I love this poem. It’s incredibly well written and put together beautifully.
A real credit to the character created by tolkien and an absolute pleasure to read.
awsome! i don’t even really like the whole director’s lincence pj took w/ some of the movies ( esp. the love btween arwen and aragorn…and don’t get me started about faramir…) but i love this poem. the rhyming is great and convays allot of emotion, something not easy when trying to find words that rhyme all in all, brilliant job! keep up the good work!
