We had the privilege of interviewing a few Lord of the Rings characters to see what they thought of Peter Jackson’s epic extended edition rendering of their journey. Here were the results:

Aragorn: Didn’t do my wonderful grunginess any justice, but was still good because got to marry Arwen in the end anyways.

Gimli: Was very good. Got to insult Legolas plenty and still won the counting game at Helms Deep. Was very disappointed with all of the Elvish stunts he pulled off, though.

Legolas: Didn’t enjoy being replaced by some pretty boy, but did in fact look rather dashing at some points, so was ok. Loved watching myself do all those stunts, had no idea I looked so cool. Was angry that counting game results were shown in the end, but could put up with it because of oliphaunt smackdown.

Boromir: Why do I always die?

Gandalf: Thought I was very cool. Everyone else rubbish. Enjoyed giving Saruman the slip and jumping onto waiting eagle. Also liked throwing Sam on a table and scaring him half to death. Got to say “Fool of a Took” lots, which was very nice.

Sam: Am I really that fat?

Merry: Nose waaaaaay too big. Otherwise very nice movie.

Pippin: Enjoyed all the scenes where I annoyed Gandalf. But am I really that stupid?

Frodo: Loved being cute. Tripped too much, though. Made lots of people cry, which was satisfactory.

Elrond: Liked saying “Doom” so much, and loved my wonderful eyebrows.

Haldir: Enjoyed extra screentime and heroism, but why did I have to die?

Galadriel: Loved being so mysterious and powerful. Laughed harder than I have since the first age when I scared Frodo’s pants off by turning blue.

Arwen: Wonderful intro of myself. Have never put a sword up to Aragorn’s throat. Am suspecting it would be fun.

Eowyn: I got to kick butt! *woot* Faramir very handsome, as well.
