Hello.

I am looking for some characters to play in my new RP called Falling Doom.

I will need mostly Men but some Elves are welcome. There is an OOC so you can see the details of the story. Please PM with your characters, thanks.

I need some Elves, orcs, and one or two men for How did it come to this? in TR. I also need a love interest for Mirelwen, whose heart is turned cold at the loss of a very close friend of hers. An Elf would be good and I really only need an orce captain and a few orcs for his company, like about four or five. Thanks, pm me and let me know if you are interested. Also need some chars for Hold onto Hope. pm Elfalas if you are interested in either one.THanks! About the love interest I need an Elf, but he needs to be flirtatious, seductive, and sort of dangerous. HE also needs to have a scandalous reputation and be despised by Mirelwen at first because of a really bad first impression. Thanks and I hope that someone can come soon who fits the description! I desperately need a male Elf who is flirtatious, seductive, adn dangerous. He also needs to have a scandalous reputation in MIrkwood to be a love interest for MIrelwen, but he needs to be despised by her at the beginning for a really bad first impression or some other reason that will make her dislike him. If this is you then pm me and post in the ooc then the rp. I hope to see someone soon, for I really need this to happen soon, so post in there if you fit the description. I have left a spot for him to come in so post there right away if this is you. PLease post soon, the rp needs this Elf very, very soon! Thank you, and I hope to see him in there ASAP.

Hello all, minstral of the dawn and myself are begining a new RP called Burning Tears. We have not posted it yet so don't go looking for it.
The plot is during the First Age during the kinslaying and after.
We will only be using Elves.

(Frankly, absolutely new to RPGs, though I have read the rules and would like to participate in these forums. Always wanted to - but just never got the chance or was just plain hesitant. I have a character contrived in his mind for a long time ... just never played it out. So here I am on the "advertiser" and hope that “he” gets to be a part of a cool thread!)

Okay, i want to start a roleplay where elves are on a quest.

Hello all. Just me looking for some good chars for a new rp, yet again! This one is about some Elves traveling and thye meet up with Gandalf. Alright, have another rp that I am starting. This one is called Rise Over Darkness and the ooc is up now. If you are interested, let me know in there and we ca ndiscuss further actions. At first I need only Elves, but once we get to Helm's Deep, we can men there as well. And I have another rp that needs some other chars as well. THis one is called Falling Darkness and we need some Elves in there and we need someone to play Gandalf, Bilbo, and the dwarves when we get to them. LEt me know in the ooc if you are interested. It's time for an adventure as an old evil plagues the lands!

It's set after Frodo has left. The idea is that what-if the Uruk Hai had not completely died and what if ___ had not really died (either Sauron or Saruman I am not sure) and what the concequences are. It started in the west and is moving east - the shire and Bree have been destroyed so far. Aragorn and Arwen are in Rivendell.

Scop: 26 year-old, ex-Rohan warrior looking for adventure. Has some skill with a spear, but requires his horse to be of use on the battlefield.

Also, Scop's owner (me *cough*) looking for an excuse to make a unique female character. Would be willing to make one to fit any interesting plot.

Hello,

Firstly, thanks to all those who read this and spare the time to browse through the links I put up here.

Now to get down to my "ad":

Well, the thread is called Conquering Helcaraxë and, due to certain time constraints of three of the four writers, myself included, I need to have more writers join in.

I would be grateful if all those who wish to join in would read the rules BerethEdhellen has compiled here. Though they are meant for the Totally Tolkien threads, I would like for them to be observed in my thread as well as a matter of discernment and integrity.

I have also started an Out-Of-Character Thread here.

In creating the very scope of Helcaraxë, Tolkien has mentioned very little, so the capacity for description increases by bounds. Moreover, the elves suffered great hardships and tragedy over the ice and that is a base from where stories can be created. I also feel it gives ample opportunity to interact with the great High-Elves, Fingolfin, his sons, Galadriel and her brothers! There were hundreds of elves crossing over Helcaraxë – and that would entail hundreds of stories.

Two important factors need to be mentioned: firstly, do remember that the Elves who left Valinor were known to each other by their Quenyan names, I would request those who are accepted to write in the thread to please use those names as opposed to the Sindarin ones that the Elves received after they settled in Middle-Earth.

Secondly, when taking on the speech of an epic character, like Fingolfin, for instance, please try and attribute dignity and weight to his or her dialogue and write what you think he or she would have said in the situation (in keeping with character) – instead of what you feel he or she ought to have said.

If anyone wishes to join, please PM me, or write in the OOC thread - with their character's descriptions if possible.

*Please bear in mind that I wish to keep the writing as close to canon material as possible! So writers do not need to hurry with their writing and can take their time in submitting each post*

Needless it would be to point out, that only Elves can be a part of this RP.

EDIT: Okay, I removed the reil. I'm just wondering if stillettos are acceptable, as they're basically just stabbing swords. If not, please tell me and I will gladly change them.

As this is a Tolkien site as opposed to a general 'fanfic' site, we recommend you familiarize yourself with the rules and guidelines.

For example, your weapon (the Reil) is not a Tolkien world weapon. Please read THIS and THIS and change your profile accordingly before entering any thread.

An inquisitive Huorn/limb lithe Oak looking for adventure-any RPG that would accept her.

She is a very wide awake Oak 34 feet to her highest twig. Is an Oak with a good heart, though she still has a wild Huornish streak. Her only weapons are her roots and her branches. She will have to be taught how to throw things. Her shepherds are growing sleepy, she she is taking to exploring.

I have a new charecter wanting to join the action. She is half elven and her name is Claurwen, you can find her in the database. I can change her to fit the situation.
Warning! I am new to RPing and I'm not fully sure I understand it completely. I have read all the rules several times and feel sure I can do this.

Hello, experianced roleplayer on the market. Extremely literate (though not advanced literate) and rarely posts less than two or three paragraphs, and occasionally will post more than ten. I have no character yet, but I am interested in playing either a Ranger, a man (or woman) of other occupation, or any other folk which may be required.

Exceptionally good at evil or dark characters, as well as silly and fun characters. Please PM me if you would like to see a sample of my work or if you would like me to check out your roleplay.

(P.S.- Don't be intimidated by my literacy if that's what frightens you. I write a lot but it's usually simple and easy to understand)

The Totally Tolkien thread, A Shadow Rising, is currently searching for an additional female role. The part is small at this time but, depending on the player's interest and ambition, could grow in size exponentially.
