Swayrazer,

Sindarin can be written in two scripts:

1) Tengwar. An example is the cursive script you see on the ring.

2) Cirth. Angular script which looks like runes.

Those are the two scripts to write Sindarin in. It's not quite a simple matter of script letter = letter of our alphabet, but it's not difficult to pick up the basics either. I've already linked you to some good sites on the two, but if you're interested, I can link you to some more.

Funny what it says in the tengwar site about the elves writing in a mirror fashion. I used to do that alot, I also write with either hand.

Is this a correct form of Sindarin to write in?

There is no real tengwar alphabet in the sense that there is a unique correspondence between each of our 26 letters and a tengwa.
When you want to use tengwar you have to decide on the mode you want to use. Such a mode defines for each of the 36 tengwar the meaning and for which language this mode is appropriate.
For Sindarin there are two modes: the mode of Beleriand and the tehta mode. In the mode of Beleriand vowels are denoted by separate symbols (as in the Latin alphabet) and in the tehta mode they are denoted by those little symbols (called tehtar) on top of or below another tengwa (in this mode the tengwar denote only consonants).
