Post Guilt and Mortality - Beren and Luthien

It occurs to me to wonder how Beren felt when he found himself restored to life with Luthien beside him. Did he know he had been dead? Did he know of Luthien's visit to Mandos and her choice of mortality?

... and if he knew ... would he have felt guilt for all she had given up on his account?

Leaving aside the facts that they seemed to be in a special blessed state and that they were driven by their doom, I still don't think he would have felt guilty. He may have felt responsible (got to be a conscious man...) but Luthien chose mortality for love of him and nobody should feel guilty because of love. Aragorn likewise.

Anyway who's to say that the fate that awaits mortals isn't better than hanging around in the Halls of Mandos? Perhaps faith had a part in her decision.
