One of my favourite expressions is when in Moria as they hear the balrog for the first time and Gandalf says what it was, Legolas just ahs that look that says "Oh crap, we're gonna get our ***es kicked" And then some others when you randomly pause the movies, you ca nget the funniest expressions. And at the gates of Moria when it is mentioned that the gates are hidden or somethnig and Legolas' face is funny.

I reckon the look on Gimli's face when he tries to smash the Ring and his axe smashes is really funny. It's a bit like, "That stupid ring just broke my axe!"
And Elrond's expression when Merry and Pippin come running into the Council. You can just hear him thinking "What on Middle-Earth are those two doing here?!"
Plus, Gollum's expression when Smeagol tells him to "leave now and never come back!". He does exactly this: :angry:
There's probably more, but I usually focus on the story rather than the faces, so I won't have noticed them.
Oh, wait, one more. I like that look on Boromir's face when the Balrog is coming round the corner and he goes, "What is this new devilry?" There's an old picture in the captions contest, if you look at that you'll see what I mean.

when Legolas says "This is no mere ranger, he is Aragorn, son of Arathorn..." and Boromir looks at Aragorn "Aragorn?" and Viggo nods his head and his facial expression is just perfect.

When Aragorn runs up to Haldir and hugs him. Haldir's face is just great!

also love it when Gimli starts "blowing ghosts" in the extended edition of ROTK

ROTK I dont exactly know what kind of Facial Expression the Witch-King makes, but he's still cool!:love: and Gothmog's look when he see's the army of Rohan closing it. (EE) That grin Gothmog does after he say's "Grond will breach it." I hate to say it, but that grin actually makes him look..(gulp)Charming..

I love the face Aragorn make when he sees the Dead King guy at the entrance to the Paths Of The Dead. He face twists all up. I accidentally paused it on that scene once. I had a friend over for an all nighter. She was drifting so I shook her she woke up and saw his face and started laughing so hard she fell of the couch. It was Really funny when it was paused and I stared laughing too. We couldn't stop for like 5 minutes.

When Wormtongue is telling Saruman about how the people of Rohan are departing to Helm's Deep. Wormtongue says that there will be "women and children" and at Saruman's eyebrows raise up and he gains an interested expression. They made Saruman a little creepy in the movies.

Bilbo freaking out because Frodo won't let him see the ring is a good one to. That scared me badly when I was a kid!!! It still does!!

Frodo dancing like he has wings, that face was hilarious to me

Elrond looking at Pip and Merry to join the Fellowship

When Frodo sees everthing in the mirror, Galadriel stares at him not entirely looking at him, I find that so weird and creepy

Wow, Legolas paying attention to Gandalf's lament, he was just hot all frames and all seconds of it giving the meaning to the race of Elves

In TTT when the Rohirrim pass by and Aragorn glances at Legolas behind the rocks where they hide, Legolas narrowed blue eyes are really hot

When Gimli realize it's a long distance to him and Aragorn reach the Uruks outside the Helm's deep

Gandalf smiling in the end seeing they are winning, what a beautiful smile or expression

When Legolas sees Gimli's legs up in the air on the Drinking game

"For Frodo" was maybe the best of all.
Viggo Mortensen it's maybe the best actor ever. That look was priceless.

Frodo when they came out of Moria. So sad and adorable! :'(

RotK: At Isengard, Pippin's face when Gandalf and the others arrive. Priceless!
Sam when he finds Frodo in Cirith Ungol. He looks so forgiving and kind.

We were one in the same, running like moths to the flame. You'd hang on every word I'd say, but now they only ricochet.

Gimli has the best facial expressions of LoTR.

In The Hobbit, I think it's Ori when they are in Imladris, having been offered food... his face when he says: "I don't like green food" and "Have they got any chips?"

Ori is rather weird looking, but in a cute way.

Frodo's face when Pippin says "Great! Where are we going?" after the Council of Elrond has just finished and Lindir's face in the Hobbit Extended Edition, during the Rivendell dinner scene, when Kili throws the food at the wall near him! Priceless!!!!!!!

People, are you serious??? I once (over 10 years ago) watched all three LoTR EE DVD versions in one sitting, on a Saturday – total running time over 11 hours. How many zillion facial expressions were contained in this? The mind (well, mine, anyway) boggles! Image
